Yesterday's photography took place at our new ground level bird bath (a
sweet product available at Duncraft). I always find the ground level pictures appealing and I expect the new bath will give me shots I've never seen before. This Brown Thrasher, as far as I've seen, has never used our pedestal bath. It is a little tricky to get just the right altitude, and lighting in this part of the yard is its own challenges, so I'm not sure I'll find this one's sweet spot until deeper into the weekend. But it will be worth the time---I can't resist those "sneaking up through the underbrush" photographs.

I'd like to do this successfully but it seems every time I do the Birdcam at ground level, all I get is "squirrel bottom" LOL Today I had both a white crowned and a golden crowned sparrow in that would have been great to get on camera!!! Maybe I'll chance it tomorrow...
