The Wingscapes BirdCam is a fairly sensitive device, one that is fully capable of capturing a moment of action in all of its clear glory. Yesterday's photography provided a marvelous example. The BirdCam was aimed at my ground level birdbath, set on a tabletop tripod and tilted slightly downwards so that I could look into the bath. This delightful image shows both the spray thrown up by a Brown Thrasher as it worked water into its back feathers, but also showed the ripples created by my Water Wiggler device. It helped to have a dark background and the right sunlight (to the west, or right.) While a picture of this type isn't a classic portrait shot, it does nevertheless give life to the bird. Look for and savor these jewels in your own photography.
