One of the overwhelming temptations for a BirdCammer is to aim at feeders or baths and miss seemingly mundane places where birds might be found. And I am as guilty as the next guy in overlooking perching points. My own feeder trees provide marvelous perching opportunities for my visitors (the principal station affords a full 23' of choices!) and yet I rarely position the BirdCam to see what's going on. To be sure, no one perching location will be as active as the feeders, but the birds will usually provide excellent profiles for photography. Recently I have experimented with likely perching points and have obtained some good images. My search goes on. See what your own situation permits and enjoy the possibilities!Friday, June 12, 2009
