Young Robin a Real Go-Getter

Another member of the Cary BirdCam Class of 2010 has already made quite a mark. This youngster caught my attention by dint of having launched an exploration of the garage. It's curious, but not brilliant, so I gave it assistance getting out. But it has also figured out the Mahonia fruit and has been seen several times there. BirdCam snapped this photo today. I'm used to rather more bashful young Robins: like last year's who hid in the underfoliage. No, Robin-2010 is a go-getter, moving around and taking risks. I hope this doesn't lead to some deadly ends at the hands of cats, or such. For now, we can appreciate the spirit of adventure.
