And Now...Chickadees

Some weeks ago I noted that Chickadees seemed less plentiful, or at least obvious. Evidently they were on the same plan as the woodpeckers, Bluebirds and Goldfinches, and were only "out fishin'" for weed seeds and whatever else caught their fancy. BirdCam pictures are showing lots of Chickadee activity now, and we're seeing them at all of the seed feeders. Any concerns I had that the population took a hit thanks to hawks or cats is fully arrested. There are at least three individual birds if not more, and they're all in apparently good health. So, another species is back in place for heavy use of our feeder stations during the cold months. Is anyone else about to join the line? We shall see.
