Winterlineup: Tufted Titmouse
The Tufted Titmouse, to paraphrase from The Bard, is "constant as the northern star". No matter the season, they're consistently fussy, nervous, and amusing. The ones here remind me of the animated character Chicken Hawk from "Looney Tunes": effecting much more aggressiveness than the small size would permit. And mine scold me every minute they see me. But it's pretty funny and I am instead entertained by the noise. They're easily attracted to the sunflower seed feeders (one set I am convinced they intend to defend to the death) and work them frequently. And they will be constants there through the long winter.
