Where Are the Hummers?
It has been some weeks since I last saw a Ruby Throated Hummingbird here. Now, I know they are around. This photo taken in May shows that they worked the Coral Honeysuckle until its blooms gave out. And I have seen fallen Trumpet Vine flowers, meaning those were pollinated---almost certainly by hummers. But the nectar feeders...no signs. And I have not seen a bird zipping around in weeks. Usually I see the hummers most often in late summer and it's looking like that pattern will hold. But this late in June and nary as sighting? That's a surprise. I keep watching...and watching...
