Perhaps it is a twisted sense of humor that brings one to enjoy pictures of completely soaked birds. If so, I have that twist. For I find pictures like this one uproariously funny. Yesterday brought a significant bout of rain (4") to Cary and as expected my feeder visitors didn't let that fact upset their dining plans. But they did get watered down! The photo above shows one of my Eastern Bluebirds, almost recognizable after the heaviest of the downpours. One can imagine this bird is doing its best to maintain its dignity during ridiculous circumstances. All is well at the end of the day. They clean up, dry off, and will be back to their textbook appearance soon enough. And I get a heck of a chuckle.

Entertaining Photos in Rain
