Mourning Dove Afternoon Hangout

Once I introduced safflower seed to the hanging platform feeder, we experienced very frequent visits by a trio of Mourning Doves. They're especially attached to a late afternoon and early evening schedule at the platform. I can count upon, when coming home at dinner time, seeing these interesting Columbids picking at safflower seed, looking all the while like languid denizens of a coffee house. I suppose that after a long day of poking about the yard, skulking and doing whatever Doves do, that they converge on David's Safflower Hut and watch the world go by. All we're missing is a guitar player and some steaming Joe.
