You can only imagine my surprise when my good bird friend Deb in Oregon writes to say "Congratulations on being named BirdCammer of the Year!" I am mystified. What's this?? So I hurried over to
the Wingscapes blog to see what on earth had happened since I last checked in. And there was the page referenced in the illustration. Well, I am definitely very honored to find myself named "BirdCammer of the Year" although the BirdCam did most of the work! The secret was a) patience---96% of the photos are not going to impress, b) careful cropping to make the bird the star of every photo, and c) having the best time using the product. I love the product so much now that I have
two BirdCams recording the wonderful world of the humble birds who visit me every day of the year. The real reward is the opportunity to enjoy that world more deeply with close-in photography and everyday observation. Okay, I'll take my bow and get back to work. I still have more testing to do with my new BirdCam 2.0!
