Cornering the Market

Things have been lively around here during the cold snap. I am seeing plenty of birds that are attracted to my abundant feeder stocks. Hand in hand with that are numbers and species I am not used to seeing. The ground level action at the back of yard station is high with Towhees, Sparrows of two kinds, Wrens, Cardinals, and unusual numbers of Mourning Doves. I counted eight in this photograph and am sure more were around. That's easily double what we observed regularly in the summer. Perhaps I have cornered the bird market in this neighborhood? Am I the only one putting out food?
