The recently-arrived Yellow Rumped Warblers have been a subject of great interest to me vis-a-vis the revamped peanut butter feeder. The YRWs are perennial lovers of this food, but I threw a heck of an obstacle at them in the form of an anti-squirrel cage (and that is still working effectively!) I have been counting on these birds to be observant and follow the lead of the other species that already solved the puzzle. And indeed, my confidence is vindicated. This YRW was photographed in the act of squeezing through the grillwork. And now, a month past hanging this monstrosity, I am feeling giddy. The birds get the peanut butter
---all of them, and the squirrels do not. The Yellow Rumped Warblers got the system in just a few days. Bird brains indeed!
