Good Year For Goslings

Everywhere I look these days I see fairly large groups of Canada Goose goslings. Perhaps it was a bad year for predators? I regularly see two sets of geese: one near home (I call these the "sidewalk kids", as I only see them waddling down a sidewalk) with four young, and the other at the office park (shown) where three goslings have survived thus far compared with only one in 2009. They're cute alright, but if this trend holds up we may have even more bad tempered adults by year's end. Only proving that too much cuteness can only come to a bad end. (Surely even Dillinger was a cute baby...) A good year for goslings... what comes next?
