Just An Excuse to Post a Photo

I 'fess up: when I get a really fine photo, especially of one of the more colorful birds I'll make some feeble excuse to post the picture in lieu of a real blog note. I didn't really have any story to associate with this. Hopefully, I'm not alone in enjoying Bluebirds and will be forgiven. Happily I am seeing more visitation by the Blues in recent days, and if we're as lucky as in last year, we may get a Baby Blue in June. I have not seen a nearby nest, but there are plenty of nest boxes to choose from around here (everyone seems to put one up as a matter of course) and I'd be quite surprised if there isn't an active nest. In any case, please enjoy the picture!
