At last the evidence of the eyes is confirmed with the BirdCam! We picked up this female Ruby Throated Hummingbird at the northwest nectar feeder. And I am seeing her (or at least one or more females) a little more regularly at all of the nectar feeders. My immediate suspicion is that the nesting is done and that Mamma is free to feed once more... and that her progeny are going to be visible. Happily for her, not only am I keeping out plenty of nectar, but the Trumpet Creeper "trees" are still flowering like crazy, and there are many insect opportunities as well. She'll have no trouble getting back to playing weight. And for me, at last, the enjoyment of summer hummers!
