Goldfinches Continue to Dazzle

My hopes for a Goldfinch summer have been realized. For the first time since 2007 we have had routine goldfinch visits past the Solstice. Admittedly there are not as many birds as seen in winter, but those who are here are virtually daily feeders on nyger and sunflower seeds.
And I expect we'll have some weed seed treats available once the goldfinches get around to nesting in late July. The various Coneflowers here are in great shape among our flower collection. Summer just seems more alive with the brilliant blaze of the colorful finches. Now we're certain to enjoy those colors all season.
