Another Happy Ending

I've mentioned a couple of times the family of Canada Geese who pretty much live at our office park. In 2009 it wasn't very pretty for the "office Geese" as we watched one set of goslings vanish one after another to predators. But the 2010 family is in fine shape: three goslings---three survivors. In fact the youngsters are in their full adult plumage. Only the constant parental sentry gives any hint that this is a family group and not a regular old gaggle. For many people in this metro area Canada Geese are simply larger versions of rats, squirrels and pigeons. But they are capable, as these birds were, of warming the heart. I'm sure many of my coworkers enjoyed seeing this family success story, even if the geese are messy and bad mannered. A happy ending!
