Another Surprise Bird Bather

Yesterday I reported spotting the unexpected Eastern Towhee enjoying a plunge in our pedestal bird bath. Here's another bird I've never seen in the bird bath: a Tufted Titmouse. This character was photographed during a classic "watering hole" spectacular on July 4th. Whether or not "Tom Tit" was inspired by other bathers (Robins, Towhees, etc.) I cannot say. I'm only surprised to have seen one do something other than take a drink. The weather is heating up (again) for a time, perhaps a week, so I am expecting to see more interesting behavior at the pedestal bird bath. It should be entertaining!
