Nutty Ideas, Continued

Occasionally I come across situations that overwhelm my rationality. Such is bird hobbying. This Saturday saw me lose my mind in an entirely new way. Back in May I "guarded" a Robin nest for an out-of-town friend. It struck me that the birds nested in a nook under her deck. I wondered if doing the same at my home might result in a nest opportunity. That's what led me to drag my tools under the deck and install a "shelf" for birds to use as a place to nest. There are now two slots (defined by joists) where birds can put something together. I'm hoping for Robins, or Wrens, but who knows what this area could appeal to. You can bet I am eager to see if I am a genius, or a fool... but it will be many months before I know for sure.
