
There are photographs of Gray Squirrels that I deeply enjoy. Honestly. And those are of failure. It warms my heart to see the most wretched
sciurus carolinensis attack a feeder and be utterly defeated. This tree rat is so stymied by the protective cage on this feeder that it made only one appearance in an entire day's photography. They smell that peanut butter, and can't get in. And remember, these fuzzy devils have been thwarted by this cage for over eleven months. So the peanut butter is safe for the birds, and I have a wonderful photo to savor. You cvan't beat that.
