Cool Cats

The Gray Catbirds arrived somewhat quietly a few days ago, but they're starting to really show me they're in town. The feeder visits are picking up and it looks like these characters found the suet nuggets, and I am hearing distinctive Catbird sounds and songs from the woody cover on both sides of the house. Photo evidence is that we have at least two birds---ostensibly a breeding pair. No doubt they're even getting a nest selected and built. I expect that to be in full swing later in May. Hummingbirds are wonderful, and I love 'em, but the summer is really complete only when Catbirds are around. I so enjoy their antics! Now, where will they nest?
