A Certified Wildlife Habitat

I don't know why it took me so long, but I can now declare that the land of Cary BirdCam is now a Certified Wildlife Habitat, as recognized by National Wildlife Federation. The criteria are simple and easily achieved by the diligent homeowner. Simply provide:
(1) Food for wildlife, as simply as a seed feeder.
(2) Water for wildlife, as simply as a bird bath.
(3) Cover for wildlife, as simply as shrubs or a brush pile.
(4) Place to raise young, as simply as a nest box.
I, as you would expect, did more than the minimum. We also have natural food sources, a variety of cover, plenty of feeders, and multiple nesting options. So qualifying was not even a question. There's also a small registration fee. But the point is, it's not a serious challenge to do so and it's plenty satisfying to know your habitat meets this standard.
Consider doing it!
