Not The Best Idea

So this evening curiosity got the better of me and I undertook an expedition to see what might be transpiring in the bluebird box. I gambled that enough time had elapsed for there to be empty premises. Like many ideas of mine, this was a mistake. It didn't take long after I popped the front panel for weird chattering noises to come from a nearby branch, and not long after that for a divebombing bluebird to appear---and come after your correspondent. That was quite enough for me to establish what I wanted to know. Before a second dive, the door was closed and I had retired from the field. A wonderful victory for knowledge finding: a lousy idea for the knowledge seeker. We'll, um, wait a few more days before next time!
