Hummers Nearly Ready to Roll

Was this our last weekend with the Ruby Throated Hummingbirds? They're difficult to pin down: I've seen them as late as the 22nd of September and out as early as the 1st. Historically that suggests ours are more than due to leave. I did see them quite a bit late Saturday and early this morning but feel that may be my last good look. I won't have too many evenings at home this week. So I am more or less saying goodbye with each glance. It's been a fun few months--since mid May I believe-- but the seasons must turn and it's time for my bejewelled friends to head out. Thanks for staying with us!
