My original feeder, and the cheapest in every respect is a small plastic window box, and I have used the thing. In fact, I am a sucker for it, watching small birds dart in and out as I relish the comforts of our sunroom sofa. Well that box has been restored to its place, one that seems relatively safe from the squirrels. And soon enough I will again stock it full of sunflower seed and see what comes. This one is good for Titmice, Chickadees, and (sigh) House Finches. But no matter, it is a happy spot for me. I am looking forward to happy sightings!
