Also On the Missing List
Yesterday I promised to review the list and see what other birds might be AWOL as we finish the first quarter of December. And one came to mind quite rapidly: the Northern Mockingbird. I'm used to seeing this aggressive devils working the peanut butter and suet, but I don't recall seeing one in some time. Some folks would not be terribly put out by this development, given the reputation of mockingbirds. And I admit I'm not too worried. Certainly they'll show up eventually. And birds do come and go in patterns I have not entirely come to understand. Well, let's see if by January the feeders are decorated with mockingbirds and their friends.
