How Did I Miss This One?

It's embarrassing when I spot a bird, realize it's been away for some time, and realize that I hadn't noticed the absence.  Such was the case when this Pine Warbler showed up several times today to indulge in suet.  And such a colorful absence!  The Pine Warblers do have a track record for visiting a good deal in the cold months.  Presumably insects are sufficiently hard to find that suet supplements the diet.  And presumably the Pine Warbler will be around much more often.  But woe is me to not even think actively about the absence for much of the past two months!  I'll just have to do a better job of actively checking the list.  And I can already think of a few characters that I haven't seen.  Maybe more on them in coming days.
