Hermie Sticks Around

The winter resident Hermit Thrush, affectionately called "Hermie" within these walls, has evidently been paying at least occasional visits in recent weeks.  I hadn't seen the bird myself, but BirdCam did this afternoon.  Hermie is fond of suet, and my surmise based on this photograph, is that the bird discovered the suet nuggets that are laid down in the hanging platform.  It's much easier eats than the suet cage, especially if one is a thrush.  But however long Hermie has been visiting, the end is in sight.  The latest I've ever recorded a Hermit Thrush is April 9, and I've last spotted one as early as March 18. Will I capture another photo before that time?  We shall see.
