Enjoying the Juncos

On a crisp Thanksgiving morning, what is more fun than watching the feeders?  I caught enough action: hyper-energetic wrens, obsessive Downy woodpeckers, safflower-hungry doves, and yes, a yard full of Juncos.  There's now a fairly large group of them here, and they are very interested in the front yard.  Are they finding stray seeds?  tasty vegetation? other odds and ends?  Whatever is out there is widespread as they fan out and work methodically.  For now they have plenty.  Maybe I'll throw a bit of millet out in the tougher times.  But it has been a delight to enjoy their work!  Happy Thanksgiving!
