Hummingbirds Are On The Way

Another sign of spring (and summer) beckons!  The Ruby Throated Hummingbirds are on their way!  According to sharp-eyed observers on the Gulf Coast, reporting in Hummingbird.net, the very first birds of the season have arrived in North America.  It will be a matter of a week or more before they reach my latitude, and then a few weeks before I can reliably expect to see a pass-through here.  My resident birds seem to take forever: often as late as mid-May.  I'm just delighted to know this wonderful annual chapter is being written in the Book of Life.  Can't wait to see them!
