They're Covered
Sometimes I wonder if people who see the feeders from the street think I have developed some kooky kind of space alien city. For, you see, there are a host of domes everywhere. I have covered every feeder with a weather dome, like the one shown. This is not out of tender concern for birds: I know they can deal with getting wet just fine. No, I care about the birdseed. These domes deflect the water and keep the seed reasonably dry. And as a result I have no important mold problems throughout the year. And let's be serious: the domes look nifty. It is sort of a space age city. And I do wonder even if the birds think so, too, as they munch dry seed out of the weather. They're covered!
