New Feeder Working Well

When the peanuts went back out this past weekend they actually went out with a new feeder.  My trusty old model was finally destroyed by squirrels back in the late winter: somehow they got it off the hook and did their worst.  The thing had rusted enough that "squirrel worst" mean unusability.  So thanks to the nice people at Duncraft we have something that should work for birds but thwart our furry gray vermin.    And so far, that has been the case.  I have observed the usual suspects get in (e.g. nuthatches and titmice) and have not seen the rats yet.  But that time will come.  It will all be fun to watch this winter!
