Towhees Reappear

An old friend reappeared yesterday.  Or at least, appeared to my knowledge.  The Eastern Towhee is elusive and a compulsive skulker.  And while they are in the area all year, they can be a devil to find.  But the male is making himself available for view and perhaps I will see more of them as the foliage drops away to expose more of the ground.  I don't remember seeing or hearing much of them since late spring so this is a real treat.  Towhees are fun to watch and are quite attractive besides.  Good to see you back!
