Peanut Butter Not a Fast Mover Yet

The peanut butter feeder went up over a week ago after a long wait, and the content is mostly still there.  I do see some traffic (nuthatches, Yellow Rumped Warblers) but the evidence suggests it isn't as popular as some other things.  That, and the fact that I've protected the product so well suggests to me that maybe I was fooling myself and that the biggest consumer was our friend the squirrel.  I do need to keep watching but I may not run this feeder too much longer: perhaps into February.  Enough to add to the attractive power of my feeder stations ahead of the Great Backyard Bird Count, but no longer.  Quite a surprise: will the cold weather make a difference?
