Loving Those Nuggets

I've been putting out hot pepper formula suet nuggets for some time and remain fascinated at their appeal with the backyard bird set.  The nuggets are easy to extract (as demonstrated by this Carolina Wren) and are eagerly snapped up by birds who find the suet baskets too daunting, such as the Hermit Thrush and the Northern Cardinals.  But a warning to the prospective bird feeder---they go fast!  Ten ounces can vanish in a day or two.  The results are well worth it, so I make sure to keep the stuff in stock.  And if anything more will be consumed in the height of breeding season!
