Wrong Again!

I am being convinced that each and every time I make a claim about something being absent, or late, or whatever, the next day I will be proved wrong.  And indeed, after speculating yesterday that our Trumpet Vine was strangely late -- to the tune of three or four weeks -- the blasted plant went ahead and flowered this afternoon.  To be sure, there were only signs of these three blooms, but that's enough to carry on the fine tradition of the Cary BirdCam Claim Curse.  Whatever.  At last the Ruby Throated Hummingbirds can enjoy some first rate natural nectar!  And a long summer of visual delights awaits me.  I promise.
