Prepared For Hummingbirds

Is there any more delightful springtime labor than preparing for the arrival of the Hummingbirds? I had a fantastic season in 2008 and am looking forward to even better very soon. Ruby Throated Hummingbirds have already been sighted in South Carolina a little earlier than usual. I am well prepared. This past week I cleaned and hung three nectar feeders, added a new fourth (making sure no one feeder can be seen from another!), obtained new ant guards, and brewed up fresh nectar (one part sugar to four parts water, as recommended). When will the Hummers settle down in the land of Cary BirdCam this year? Keep posted for the results!
