Use That Tape Measure!

I note that the great people at Wingscapes have recently added a 60” tape measure to their stable of BirdCam accessories. I think they have identified a real need for those of us who use the product regularly, and I would even assert that a tape measure is an essential accessory for the serious “BirdCammer.” I can testify that I have lost too many days’ worth of photography to poor focus -- due to bad estimation of distance from the lens to the feeder. Now I keep a tape measure handy when I reset the camera to make sure I get that focal length just right. It only takes an extra minute to measure and achieve peace of mind that the photos will be crisp---and (hopefully) stunning.
