We're delighted to see a new Wingscapes blog post calling attention to the photography here at Cary BirdCam. That would be my 14th such citation! This one is a result of John Riutta spotting our surprise visit by a female Summer Tanager. I'm actually more pleased that he agreed with the identification! The tanager is not a bird I've seen up close as the species likes to zip about the canopy in thicker woods than we have in this subdivision. Perhaps this will be an inspiration to BirdCam owners that by shooting frequently, and by being patient, wonderful photos will result.Thursday, September 10, 2009
