Another Peanut Butter Customer

I have been watching the peanut butter feeder with my BirdCam for most of the past week, and the customer list is growing. We started with the usual inquisitive suspects (Chickadees and Titmice) as well as the all-too-observant squirrels. Recently I spotted a Ruby-Crowned Kinglet, and this weekend the Brown Headed Huthatches joined the party. Surprisingly, I saw more photos showing these nuthatches than squirrels! The Brown-Headeds are very common in the Piedmont but don't visit my feeders nearly as consistently as, say, the Titmice. But they have a history for frequent visitorship in the cold months, so I will expect to see them quite a bit in the coming weeks. And I will enjoy hearing their "squeaky toy" calls. Now...where are those darn Yellow-Rumped Warblers?
