A Few Sneak Around

I simply cannot resist the urge to "BirdCam" my favorite backyard bird questions, nutty theories, or mysteries. The new 7-pounder MegaTube invited such an inspection -- and got it. Do the Goldfiches ignore it? not entirely. I spotted a stray bird or two through the course of two different days. This female clearly knows how to work the tube. And she wasn't scared off by the camera. Hence, I am settling down to the idea that my fickle Goldfinches coincidentally evacuated the scene just as the MegaTube arrived. They have found something more enticing. But a few are sneaking around to my abundant sunflower tubes, and just perhaps the flock will return some day.
