Bring On The Excitement, Please

Gowldarnit, it has been pretty dull around here, bird-wise. Seed consumption is down. Sightings are off. Species counts?! -- except for a cold snap early this month I have seen only the regulars---House Finches, Titmice, Downys, Red Bellieds, Mourning Doves, and Cardinals---and not many of them, really. To see an American Goldfinch (as was the case today, in this one poor photo) is seemingly an event of consequence. O miserable November, ye are such the backyard birder's bane, an' I am done with ye. Yes, I am prepared! Please! bring on the winter birds! Bring on action! excitement! drama!
