Unfairly Dissed

Yesterday I complained bitterly about the quality of back yard bird activity here in the Ides of November (which is sub-par) but perhaps I left the impression that I've given up on the bitter enders I do so, and that I'm blowing off other birds that didn't make my top-of-mind list. And all that was unfair. For here, in today's BirdCam photography I captured sight of a bird I dissed in a very big way by omission. This vivid White Breasted Nuthatch deserved better by me, especially as I waited so long in the earlier years before this species got used to the idea of coming to our feeders. The WBN's aren't highly regular, but there's evidence they may visit at least once a day. And face it, they're attractive birds. So apologies, my friend. Have an extra round of suet on me!
