First One In

It's taken a few more days than expected for our regulars to get the hang of the peanut butter feeder station. Unsurprisingly, the squirrels have been on it since the beginning but have not gotten in. And also unsurprisingly, it was a Carolina Wren who led the avian field. These thoroughly inquisitive birds seem to be all over every nook and cranny in their territories and this feeder eventually caught their attention as food potential. I'm also seeing a Northern Mockingbird showing interest, so others will get the idea and start taking a bite or two. We're still monitoring... more data to come!
