Almost Ready For Hummer Thrills

And, of course, I mean Ruby Throated Hummers, not the beastly H3 suburban assault vehicles! April 1st is almost upon us, and that means set up for hummingbirds. My four nectar feeders have been dusted off and put in place, and the first nectar will be poured Friday. Last year I standardized to the model shown, which is a heck of a lot easier to clean than other types but is no less attractive to the birds. Ruby Throateds worked all four in 2010. The only question left is when they arrive. My bad luck has meant "May", but one never knows if migrants will stop by for a sip of liquid energy, and I'll be ready for them. We shall see what happens!
