First Juvenile of 2011

It's been more than a little surprising to me that until today I saw no signs of juvenile birds at home, or anywhere else for that matter. And then in one day, I see three. Number One: a young Carolina Chickadee begging for food during a birding walk at Hemlock Bluffs Nature Preserve. One hour later, I spotted this juvenile Robin following a parent bird at a local festival. And an hour after that, at home, I spotted a Carolina Wren affecting the "feed me" pose. Is this an omen? will I now see a torrent of fledglings, much as I did last year? or am I going to generally be in the wrong place, at the wrong time? It was a delightful round of sightings today, and that more than makes up for the wait!
