Back For More Visits, I Hope

We haven't seen the Brown Thrashers much this summer. Since mid June, in fact, I've picked one up on BirdCam just three times through the end of August, almost at one month intervals. And I can't remember even seeing them in the underbrush, although surely they were there. The attraction of suet at my feeders has been much less when there are plenty of invertebrates around! But now the feeder visits are picking up again. And I expect through the fall and winter we will again enjoy much more company of the thrashers. So the winter gang is beginning to assemble: Thrashers, White Breasted Nuthatches...who's next?
