We regularly have a strong family group (or two) of Northern Cardinals on site during the year -- it being the kind of property a cardinal likes. This winter should prove to be no exception. The good breeding season yielded several surviving new members of the clan. I'm fairly certain of at least three females and at least two males in the total count, but I'm miserably bad at getting an absolutely certain census given feeders and bushes being all over the place. No matter what, there will be a good sized family of group over the winter and that means marvelous viewing of these handsome birds!
