A Good Species Count for September

September may only be two-thirds over, but with the appearance of this Brown Thrasher, it has been a very good month for species counts on BirdCam. Since 9/1 I've recorded 18 species on camera, among them:
(1) Brown headed and White breasted nuthatches
(2) Downy and Red bellied woodpeckers
(3) Ruby Throated hummingbird
(4) Carolina wren
(5) Carolina chickadee and Tufted Titmouse
(6) Blue Jay, Gray catbird, Eastern bluebird
(7) Northern cardinal
(8) House finch and American goldfinch
(9) Pine warbler
(10) Mourning dove
(11) Common grackle, Brown thrasher

All in all, not a bad haul. There are certainly others around (e.g. American Crow) but it's a very active turn for this oh-too-dull period between the seasons. I wonder if I can nudge the camera count just a little higher?
