It's a sure sign that the mad rush is at last over when the photography grinds to a halt. This camera angle was good for hundreds of pictures a day early in summer. And now, at the edge of autumn (temperatures will crash tomorrow!) there's almost no activity. I picked up five(!) BirdCam photos all day. And this Eastern Bluebird and House Finch seem to be among the only visitors. Indeed, raising young is a thing of the past, there's still plenty of natural food choices, the catbirds are gone, and the weather still is warm. This is the lull between the spring and winter storms...should be interesting.
